Implant Restoration
Replace missing teeth!.
Implant Restoration
Implant restoration is the very best option for replacing lost teeth as it is the closest option to a natural tooth. Implant restoration is a procedure that creates an artificial tooth to replace a missing one by attaching a fake tooth to an implanted root that fuses with the bone over a period of time. It is essentially a bone graft procedure where the implant serves as an artificial root that replaces the lost tooth and bonds with the jaw over time.
The Implant Process
When a tooth is non-restorable or missing, Dr. Varner will refer you to a specialist surgeon to have the tooth gently removed and the implant “post” placed. After the implant post has adequately healed, the surgeon will send the patient back to our office for the final restoration. At this point a simple procedure of digital scanning or impression of the implant will be done, usually with little to no anesthetic needed. A couple of weeks later the patient will return and the final abutment (anchor) and crown will be delivered. It’s as easy as that!
Implant Maintenance
After completion of your implant restoration, it is very important to continue proper home care along with regular dental cleanings and check-ups to help keep the implant restoration healthy.
